In recent times, Indian Independence day has become one of those occasions when e-commerce websites offer deals and discounts. Cashing in on the patriotic fervour, online marketplaces and gadget brands have started these promotions. 

While websites like Amazon are featuring hourly and daily deals, others like Snapdeal are running a shopping festival. Here’s a look at some of these offers and deals:

Google Nexus 5 Plus Chromecast

Microsoft Nokia Lumia 530

Microsoft’s budget smartphone is perfect for people buying their first smartphone. Launched at Rs 7,349, the phone is available at Rs 4,299 as part of Snapdeal’s Freedom Week. Lumia 530 has a 4-inch screen with 854x480p resolution and runs on Windows Phone 8.1, the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile operating system. 

It packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 512MB RAM under the hood and comes with 4GB internal storage, 15GB OneDrive storage and supports 128GB microSD cards.
