Vivo V5 and V5 Plus may be the first smartphones to have 20MP front camera.

Vivo is all set to launch two new smartphones - V5 and V5 Plus smartphones, at its November 15 event in India. But just a day before the official launch, full specs of the V5 have surfaced online in the form of a leaked image of the smartphone's retail box.

Going by the leaked image, shared by PhoneRadar website, the Vivo V5 and Vivo V5 Plus will have a 20MP front camera each. If the leaks are anything to go by, the camera on the two smartphones will be able to deliver really sharp images with enhanced clarity. Both handsets are expected to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Vivo's Funtouch OS 2.6 UI layer running on top.

The smaller of the two - Vivo V5, is likely to have a 5.5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The dual-SIM device may also come with an AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip, along with usual connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 4G.
Having a 3,000mAh battery, the V5 is expected to come in Gold and Rose Gold colour variants.

Vivo is expected to launch its X9 and X9 Plus smartphones in China this week. Both devices may feature USB Type-C port as well. Some of the other rumoured specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Earlier this year, Vivo launched its X7 and X7 Plus smartphones in China. Both smartphones share almost identical specifications, except for different display size and battery capacity.
