Xiaomi seems to be on a smartphone launching spree. The company recently launched Mi Note 2, its first smartphone with dual-curved display. The company also showcased Mi Mix 'concept' smartphone which boasts of an almost bezel-less screen. And now, latest buzz is that the company is set to launch Redmi 4 smartphone.

Late last month, alleged images and specifications of Redmi 4 appeared on Chinese telecom company TianYi's website.
As per the listing, Redmi 4 sports a 5-inch display. It's also expected to have a 13MP rear camera (with LED flash) and a 5MP front-facing snapper. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset clubbed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of in-built storage, along with a 4,000mAh battery. It's expected to come in three colour variants - Silver, Grey and Gold.
Going by the images, Xiaomi Redmi 4 will have a completely overhauled design as compared to the Redmi 3.
The images show a rear mounted fingerprint sensor below the camera and LED flash. The front has three capacitive buttons below the display, along with a front-facing camera and sensors on top.
It is worth mentioning that the design of Redmi 4 goes in line with what we saw in the leaked images last month. The smartphone has been already certified by Tenaa. Some of the other rumoured specifications include a Full-HD resolution display and MIUI-based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Xiaomi has already launched the rumoured Redmi 4's elder sibling, the Redmi Note 4 in China. The handset features a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. Powering the handset is a 2.1GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM. It offers 16GB/64GB internal storage which can be expanded further by installing microSD cards. With a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, a 4,100mAh battery rounds off the specsheet.
