Xiaomi launches Mi Portable Mouse in China.

Chinese tech firm Xiaomi announced its Mi Rice Cooker a week back followed by Mi Air Purifier Pro, Mi PM2.5 Detector, and Mi Sports Bluetooth headset. 

Expanding its portfolio, the company has now launched Mi Portable Mouse in China priced at CNY 99 (roughly Rs 970). Listed on its website, the accessory will go on sale in China starting November 11. Details of its availability in India are however unavailable as of now.

The Portable Mouse connects to a PC through Bluetooth 4.0 and is available in two colour variants - Silver and Gold. Xiaomi claims that the wireless mouse is accurate up to 95 percent. It sports an anodised aluminium shell design and weighs 77.5 grams. Measuring 110.2x57.2x23.6mm, the mouse works on laser sensor and is compatible with Windows 7, 8, and 10.

According to the company, the mouse can be connected with Mi TV as well as tablets, and mobile phones among other devices.

Amongst its features, the support for dual-mode connection using the Bluetooth/2.4G wireless adapter when connected to a computer stands out. Essentially it means that the accessory can work with two devices at one time. All a user needs to do is to press the relevant button on the device to switch between two devices. 

Buttons and LED indicators are placed at the bottom part of the mouse, which is powered by two alkaline batteries.


Recently, Xiaomi launched it's Mi Sports Bluetooth in-ear headphones. Priced at CNY 149 (roughly Rs 9,900) the headphones sport a loop design to hold them onto the earlobes. Both of them are connected with a small wire. It is backed by an 110mAh battery and connects with other devices through Bluetooth v4.1.
